About the Program

The MSc in Energy Systems Engineering Program aims to train engineers with in-depth knowledge, capable of conducting scientific research and developing solutions to complex energy-related challenges.

The program offers specialization opportunities in the following areas:

  • Conventional and renewable energy systems.
  • Energy management and energy policies.
  • Energy efficiency and sustainable energy solutions.

Education Opportunities

The MSc in Energy Systems Engineering Program offers two tracks: thesis and non-thesis.

Thesis Program:

  • Consists of seven courses, a seminar, and a thesis.
  • Includes two compulsory program courses, two program electives, and three graduate-level electives from other engineering departments.

Non-Thesis Program:

  • Consists of ten courses and a graduation project.
  • Includes two compulsory program courses, five program electives, and three engineering electives.
  • Focuses on gaining professional knowledge rather than writing a thesis.

Courses cover topics such as:

  • The historical development of energy systems.
  • Techno-economic analysis of energy applications.
  • Solar energy system design and implementation.
  • Integration of renewable energy systems.
  • Economic challenges in energy systems and optimization techniques.
