Electrical – Electronic Engineering Department

Established in 2005, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Cyprus International University operates within the Faculty of Engineering. Our Department offers comprehensive curricula covering electrical power systems, electronics, telecommunications, circuits and systems, electromagnetic fields, microwave technology, robotics, and control systems.

Mechatronics Engineering Program
Our department also offers the Mechatronics Engineering Program, which integrates Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Computer Engineering to develop advanced automated and intelligent systems. A mechatronic system consists of:

  • Motor systems for mechanical power generation.
  • Sensors to detect environmental changes.
  • Microprocessors for precise control.
  • Computer programs that manage the system in a centralized or distributed structure.

Industry-Oriented Engineering Education
At Cyprus International University, we educate highly skilled engineers who can effectively manage resources, optimize productivity, and develop cutting-edge technological designs while considering environmental sustainability. Our graduates excel in robotics, automation, advanced electronic systems, and emerging engineering technologies, preparing them for dynamic careers in the global industry.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Cyprus International University offers YÖK and YÖDAK-approved English-taught undergraduate programs in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering. Additionally, the department provides a YÖK-accredited Master of Science (MSc) Program and a Doctorate (PhD) Program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, taught in English.

Our education and research programs cover both theoretical and practical aspects of electronics, communication systems, electromagnetic fields, microwave technology, circuits and systems, electrical power systems/electrical machines, and control and automation systems. With a strong emphasis on R&D and technological innovation, our students gain hands-on experience in industry-driven engineering projects and cutting-edge research.
