STB 03 – Computer Aided Production Laboratory
The laboratory was established with the objective of giving students the necessary information and practical skills in automation systems, production scheduling as proto-type, computer programming, and similar topics as well as forming a good example for studies related to flexible production systems. By the use of the robot arms, conveyor lines, AGV (line tracking vehicles), and the automatic storage units to be established by the utilization of LEGO Mindstorm and TETRIX sets already purchased, students will be able to set up and program automation and flexible production systems. Students will learn how to use these sets and how to form and activate systems and transform them into integrated systems by the adoption of NI LabVIEW software. For more advanced academic research, it is also possible to establish software written in Java and Python in addition to the present software.
The experiments conducted in this laboratory are as follows:
1. Computer Integrated Manufacturing System Design
2. Digital Twin Manufacturing System Design
