STB 33 – Spechtroscopy Laboratory

Spectroscopy Laboratory includes an Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR), Spectrophotometer and Spectrofluorophotometer devices to analyze water, wastewater and solid waste accurately and reliably to control environmental pollution. Atomic Absorption Spectrometry measures the absorption of light at certain wavelengths by atoms. FTIR device is used to identify organic compounds.

The experiments conducted in this laboratory are as follows:

  1. Adsorption (water and wastewater treatment)
  2. Membrane Filtration (water and wastewater treatment and physical separation experiments)
